Ma'tsa kya Spring Solstice Water Jar
From the Matsaki Polychrome (circa 1475-1680+) the production of glaze-decorated, white-slipped pottery declined in the Ashiwi villages and was replaced gradually by the buff-colored pottery decorated with matte mineral paint. This is known as the Matsaki Polychrome. This pottery form is called a Water and ancient motifs that depict nature movement. This unique medium jar is one of a kind. Signed: PALOMA 7/2025 Zuni, NM
